5251 Buchanan Road was a spectacular waterfront home developed for the owner. Consisting of 4500sf in the main house plus a 1,000 sf. 4 bedroom, fully contained, guest suite over the oversized triple garage. The site was structured to include a fully self-contained geo-thermal heating and cooling system.
Being very creative on the narrow 50’ waterfront lot the Developer was able to take advantage of a spectacular curved block wall to create an area for a 24 x 32’ salt water pool. Extensive use of stamped concrete and manicured landscaping completed the very useable amenities including a large level lawn area at the beach and additional parking for the guest suite.
The interior of the home, offering quality craftsmanship and incredible finishing details, even included an elevator providing access to all levels from the foyer. The large “open concept” main floor living and dining room were complemented by massive 9’ sliding glass doors stretching across and opening onto a massive covered deck with unparalleled views to the lake. A huge solid maple curved staircase led to the 2 nd Floor Master Bedroom and Ensuite including a private laundry in the Ensuite and another private deck off the Master Bedroom. A guest room with its own bathroom completed the top floor.
The lower level, complete with a walkout deck leading to the pool, contained a large family room, a large office and another bedroom and laundry room.
