Having previous development successes along Buchanan Road in Peachland, the Developer acquired options on a 2 acre parcel at 5300 Buchanan Road and commenced a detailed analysis of the potential for further development.This is the same parcel on which the developer, during the re-zoning process, did a major renovation on the existing home shown below.
A spectacular plan was designed for 15 units in 3 buildings. With each unit, facing East for brilliant sunny mornings, along with expansive decks, and unobstructed views of Okanagan Lake! Individual 2 car garages were incorporated into the design as well.
Even though the project faced some significant challenges with neighbors in the area, including the acquisition of McKay Lane, the Developer was able to take the project through the rezoning process to Development Permit stage with the District of Peachland. However… the Developer having subsequently moved to Calgary, decided to sell the project to a local builder/developer.
